How to be referred to the Davos Dutch Asthma Centre?
Are you 16 years old or older?
Do you suffer from persistent lung complaints despite medication and care from your doctor and pneumonologist? Do you experience restrictions in your daily life as a result? This is a reason to further examine if testing and treatment at the asthma centre is an option. We work with you to find the cause of your ongoing complaints and make a personal treatment plan.
There is often more possible than you think.
A referral from your own pneumonologist is required for treatment at the Davos Dutch Asthma Centre. He or she can evaluate whether a treatment is feasible and necessary. In the event of questions, your pneumonologist can also contact one of the specialists here at the Davos Centre.
We then ask your pneumonologist to complete the registration form and send it to us. Upon receiving this, we contact you and your pneumonologist as soon as possible.
After receiving the registration form, the admissions team examines whether we can do anything for you. A Skype appointment in a clinic in the Netherlands with our intake nurse and a Davos pneumonologist is scheduled. It is important to get a clear picture of you and your asthma and any other additional conditions, which must also be taken into account.
The high-altitude treatment in the Dutch Asthma Centre in Davos is recognised and covered by Dutch health insurance providers.
They test whether it is a case of serious asthma and whether care has taken place in the Netherlands using a number of criteria. If this is the case, you are given authorisation and are assured of treatment at the Davos Dutch Asthma Centre.
